Ouch!
“He told them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick – no food, no travler’s bag, no money.”
And I thought that I packed lite. Jesus, how could you ask me to get by on less.
What I have is not enough to meet the needs I find each day. Food and house and transportation and technology and appearances and…
I live in a world of and…a world of more…a world of not enough…and you send me on a journey with only a walking stick.
Ohhhh!
You are enough!
We do forget that he is enough!
WOW!!! There was so much in those two chapters. So I’m just going to talk about the beginning.
Christ really has experienced it all before us. He understands us so well. If His own town’s people did accept Him, then why am I so shocked when family and friends don’t get it sometimes when I talk about my faith?
It’s encouraging when He says to just brush the dust off and move on. The only thing is, who can walk away for the one’s they love? Thankfully it is up to Christ to convict and not me. My job is to love them, accept them for who they are and pray.
